The surviving ruins of columns and arches of the Hall or refectory are built of flint and stone.
The arches formed two arcades showing the building was a aisled building resembling a church.
The remains suggest the original building was about 53 feet long. The central aisle was 17 foot 6 inches wide with the two side aisles 6 foot wide.
The southernmost part of the Hall was pulled down in 1767 to allow widening of the road when it became a turnpike.
